I was playing outside with the kids yesterday evening after dinner. It was cool and clear. And I saw little blossoms poking out on our Ornamental Plum Tree. So I was trying to see how macro my iPhone would go, when I noticed a little orange blur racing past in the background...
That could only mean one thing. Sure enough, Finn yells, "MAYA'S IN THE MUD!!!!"
She loves to eat the rocks and dirt in this one spot of our front yard. I can't tell you how many times Oxyclean and Spray N' Wash have come to the rescue of the knees of her pants. So I told We that I think she has some kind of iron deficiency or something, since she loves to eat dirt. And Wes pointed out that she must also have a styrofoam deficiency, and a Lego deficiency, and a small chokable object deficiency. Point taken.
Excuse me. Maya is emptying the entire contents of my wallet onto the floor...probably looking for dimes.

Gavin likes to eat rocks and dirt, acorns, sticks and the list goes on. He also like to Lick the stuff that he can't fit into his mouth.
,,,,if it comes from the earth its all good,,,,(smile),,,oh how the mud pies somehow tasted as delicious as mother's homemade cake batter,,,maya is cute as a button,,,buttons meant to look at and adore not made for tasting and candy,,,(smile)
At least you guys are a good sport about all the extra consumables! : ) Love the pictures... thanks for sharing!
Isn't it awful how kids will eat dirt but not dinner?
It's a wee bit insulting!
She is such a DOLL! Cole never puts anything in his mouth, while his cousin puts everything in his - even little carpet lint - EW! Seriously, I painted the outside of our home while Cole sat in the lawn. He never put grass, dirt, acorns, seeds or anything in his mouth. I shouldn't be surprised though since it's a pain even getting food in his mouth!
Too funny! And I have to say - I LOVE her outfit - adorable!
my daughter keeps eating dirt as well. strange little things. :]
