Finn wanted a sail boat. So I made him this one with a $1 kit from Michael's. It came with paint, but I think I prefer the natural wood. I love making things for my kids. Love it! I am actually getting ready to sew Maya's costume, which admittedly makes me a little nervous. It involves feathery, furry fabric that I have never worked with before... Wish me smooth sailing!

Here's wishing you smooth sailing....hooo hooo! I mean haaa haaa! I'm still guessing the same on Maya's little costume and I can't wait to see it!
Hey Lyndz,
This has nothing to do with your post, but you left a comment on my blog about what you are going to do about grocery shopping when Maya is too big to wear. Here are some thoughts:
Wear her on your back in a "back pack" for kids. (I saw a mom doing this the other day)
Put Maya and Finn in one shopping cart and pull a second one behind you for your food. (this is what my mom did with George and I)
Put Maya in the cart, and let Finn help you shop by making a list with pictures of things to get (not sure how realistic this really is and I don't think I would do it with Luke, but it was a suggestion from the healthy eating workshop I went too.)
Put Maya in a stroller, Finn in the shopping cart, push her and pull him.
and the final solution:
Leave them with Wes and go by yourself at 9pm. ; )
Hope some of these help.
cheers, Ali
I love to make stuff for my kids too. My chrlie is 9 months and I'm in the works of finishing up her costume!! She's going to be a cupcake! I can't wait to see her in it!
You're probably wondering who I am... I'm friends with Danyelle. And I live in Denton. Which makes me think we might know each other too??
Anyways, I'm so happy I found your blog! I love it!
