I have been doing some custom design work.
I KNOW. I have a disclaimer on my banner site saying "no more orders, please." And I am turning away all custom requests. But that might kind of a little bit be because of the fact that I have been sort of maybe finishing up a few projects before I throw in my hat for my self-imposed maternity leave. And some of the custom work I have done lately has been so fun that I had to share. Thanks to great clients with great ideas, I get to work on fresh designs that give me a creative boost

But now I am really seriously done with custom work for a while
(unless I am still currently finishing your project, and you know who you are). Hmmmm....I think birds might be really in right now. What do you think. They keep making an appearance in all of my banners like little "Where's Waldos."

Great work! I am so looking forward to reading about your newest addition. We are contemplating driving down to visit you guys in two weeks but I don't think it will be the best time for you. We will be in San Diego and thought it would be fun to come down one weekend.

I hadn't thought about asking you to do custom work on my blog because I had read your statement that you weren't doing any more custom work.
I love my blog {don't get me wrong!} I was just hoping for something truly unique after having seen what you do on Nie's blog!
You'll have to let us know {way down the line} when you're up for some more creative design.
Just don't tell my husband- I told him that my blog in it's current state is a permanent {ummm semi-permanent?!} change. :-)
Now I don't feel quite as guilty cajoling you to do ours. All of them are lovely, but I LOVE mine of course. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
