And the winner is...

Thank you, Katie, for making me laugh out loud today. You win the "lift my spirits" prize (whatever that prize may be). :) Visit her blog at wannabecrafter.blogspot.com (I can't make links on my iPhone). Then check out her post about Bald Guyz. Hillarious!

And the winner for second dumbest medical professional (first place goes to my fired pediatrician), is whoever DIDN'T record Finn's negative TB test. Now that we have moved up to the regular pediatric wing, they looked over his charts anew. And upon discovering that the TB test wasn't recorded, they had to do it again. And!! This means for the next 32 hours anyone coming into his room has to wear full sterile garb and mask. Freaky! Except Wes and I are exempt. Plus no one in the PICU had to do that during the initial test. Oh and now he can't leave this cheery little room with mint green walls (ugh) for 36 hours. Curiouser and curiouser! I just wish we could take him on another wheelchair stroll again, poor little prisoner.

OK, and as I was typing this post this girl game up with a "Fun Center" for Finn's room. Sounds fun, right? It's the most archaic VHS/DVD player ever. It's this mammoth purple, teal, and gray machine on wheels. And it takes up all the remaining space in our already tiny new room. We have been cracking up over it all evening. And to top it off, there is a "in memorium" plaque adhered to the side of it!! Linda Jane Donaldson Niven must have been a big supporter of the video arts of the mid 90's!

Thanks Lyndsay! I'm glad I could make you laugh! And your "fun center" made me laugh. So sorry that Finn has to stay there longer, but hooray! No tubes! Though those pictures below are still pretty sad, but you look great!

Ditto to Katie's comment. I was about to say stuff...she already said it.

Lyndsay, it's great to read good news about Finn. We'll keep praying and sending happy wishes his way.
