And it begins...
So I am officially a blogger, now. Well, technically I have a MySpace page and I randomly blog on that. But I am a big girl now, and I am a terrible journal-keeper. What does that equal? Blogger. So I thought I would start with something that I have seen circulating blogs, and that is the adorable, albeit cheesy questionnaire about how Wes and I met. But everyone loves a little cheese, so here goes!
1. Where did you first meet your husband?
Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, NY. I was a "note taker" for the deaf/hard of hearing students in his History and Aesthetics of Photo class. I was trying to make/save money for a trip to Austria that summer. He sat right behind me and said in an uncharacteristically friendly (for NY) tone, "Hey, Note taker!" It was like remembering an old friend.

2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?
"Hi! Where the heck are YOU from?" (Or something similar, since he was so friendly. Only people from the south or southwest are that forwardly friendly.)

3. Where was your first date?
We went photographing. :) I took my silly little Pentax camera. (Well, it was only silly compared to his fab Hasselblad, otherwise it's a great camera.) I photographed squirrels and trees, and he photographed me. Ah, sigh.

4. Where was your first kiss?
In his apartment. It WOULD have been in the planetarium, but we were interrupted by some students on a field trip who wandered into our star tunnel.

5. Did you have a long or short engagement/courtship?
L-O-N-G. We were engaged a year (and we dated 6 months before getting engaged). We wanted to get married in the LDS Temple, and I had just joined the Church, so it was a year wait for a Temple marriage. We were good kids, though. ;)

6. Where did you get engaged?
In Rochester. Wes sent me on a treasure hunt with clues involving my roommates, a limo and hot spots around Rochester that were special to us. It ended at Wes in a tux outside of an amazing restaurant. But he was sneaky! I was, of course, expecting to get a proposal and a ring, but he said goodnight and LEFT, only to sneak into my apartment early the next morning and wake me up with said proposal and beautiful ring. It was pretty romantic.

7. Where did you get married?
In the Mesa, AZ LDS Temple.

8. How did the reception go?
It was so fun! We had a beautiful ring ceremony, and then Wes and I danced (waltzed) to Jimmy Eat World's "For me this is Heaven."

9. How was the honeymoon?
We overnighted at the Phoenician, but then had to get back up to NY for school. So we went to Denmark the next year as a belated honeymoon. TOTALLY worth it.

That was so fun to read! I'm glad you have a blog now. And I think a belated honeymoon is a great idea. Probably even more fun after you've been married a while!
